On Sunday, July 11, 2021, members and guests met for a lunch meeting at H.K. Seafood Garden in Las Vegas. President Su Phelps called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Jeff Hutchison, Korean War Veteran.
Air Force Veteran and Honorary Member Denise Ashurst talked about her upcoming political campaign in Boulder City.

Today, we are praying for people groups around the world who have not heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Today, we are praying for the people of the United States of America to hear and heed to the Word of God.

Thank you for your interest in my “Historical Campaign!”
Our first outreach will take place in beautiful Boulder City, on September 11th, at 8:30am.
We will meetup at Bicentennial Park (across from the post office) to receive tshirts, campaign door-hangers, maps and get instructions. At 9:00am we’ll head out to assigned areas to hang door hangers.
We will then, meet back at the park around 10:00am to honor the 20th anniversary of those whose lives were taken, in New York, Washington, DC., and Pennsylvania.
Finally, we will eat lunch (provided by the campaign) and then depart.

There are no words to articulate the love shown to me by this group of ladies over the years! After publishing my first book, I wanted to give the proceeds to a military women's organization. I searched the web, and landed on this group.
I called the organization and spoke to Ms. Janet Snyder the charter's president at the time.
With a meager check in hand, I attended a meeting and instantly became friends with these special ladies, and helped with the organization social media needs. Over time, they made me an honorary member! I wanted to bless them and had no idea how much I would be blessed--100 fold over the years!
The organization cannot endorsement me as candidate, but as individuals they have expressed their support and prayers!
My cup runneth over! I am blessed beyond measure and will continue to support these who love and honor our men and women in the Armed Forces, and who love our country!
If you live in the Southern Nevada area and have lost someone in the military, I urge you to contact this group.

Today was an historical day in so many ways! It is truly a blessing to live in a country where we are called “The land of the free and the home of the brave!” No matter what may come, may we always remember we are a country founded on the principles of God’s Word, and if God is for us who can be against us?
Thanks to all those who came out today to honor and to serve; that’s the America I know and love—keep up the good work!

More important issues concerning all of us...
HUMAN TRAFFICKING
Human trafficking is the unlawful act of transporting or coercing people in order to benefit from their work or service, typically in the form of forced labor or sexual exploitation. This vile act must be eliminated. Cutting off the source is easier said than done, but never the less, we must find a way to cut off the demand for such a vile trade. Impossible some might say-- so it was said of the slave trade of black human beings.
PROTECTING CHILDREN
Say "YES" to saving a life... Since the conception of Roe vs Wade over 200 million infants have been cast off like filthy rags and denied access to live independent and free lives. An undeniable genocide has taken place in the greatest country on earth, and it is unacceptable! What makes a woman so desperate to throw the baby away like garbage. I can’t imagine in my wildest dreams doing this, but I do know that desperation and mental illness is real!
I am a 66 year old woman who seriously understands that our girls and women need help!
Abortion is a “hot-button” issue, but are we addressing just “Choice” or desperation and mental illness--real health issues? Instead of arguing or protesting on either side, we must propose real options to let women (and men) know that every life truly matters and these tiny ones are our future! We must also make “Adoption laws” and ourselves more accessible… Please help me!
SCHOOL CHOICE
Say "YES" to school choice... Nevada finished at the bottom of all 50 states and the District of Columbia—Our priority must be to let the money follow the child, and give parents the right to choose where to send their children to school. We should also prefer school board trustees who respect the dignity of our children and the authority of their parents—This requires honesty and integrity on both sides. The state of Virginia has sounded the alarm and we must follow their lead.
MILITARY, BORDER PATROL
Say "NO" to defunding the police...What country or city does not invest in securing its borders and cities? From days of old, we see that people have sought to construct towers, fortresses, walls, barriers— using every device to keep out those who seek to cause harm. Then came the band of soldiers, centurions, modern day military, national guard, and local police. All have sworn an oath to protect us from enemy and foe. Let us, help them by supporting our military and funding our local enforcement, to keep our country and streets safe!
NEVADA WATER RIGHTS
"Nevada’s first water law was passed in 1866 and has been amended many times since then. Nevada water law is based on two basic principles: prior appropriation and beneficial use. Prior appropriation – also known as “first in time, first in right” – allows for the orderly use of the state’s water resources by granting priority to senior water rights in times of shortage. This concept ensures senior water users are protected, even as new uses for water are allocated." To be honest, the issues about water rights are new to me and to most that I've spoken to, but we do live in the desert, and our water and the distribution of it, is vital. So it is my intention to learn and share with others in my district, in order to have a healthy understanding and debate.
IMMIGRATION REFORM
If we are to be true to our constitution, we have not far to look then to our immigration laws. Laws that are laid out and easy to be interpreted. We must follow the rule of law and impose them or have serious non-partisan debate to reform them.
RACIAL SOLIDARITY
Say "NO" to CRT... Martin Luther King Jr., said it best, "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." The very foundation of our creation shows 'No respect of persons" when it comes to the human race. We are to love our neighbors as ourselves, no matter if we are rich, poor, black or white, children understand this principal well!
ELECTION SECURITY
Election integrity is essential to any republic. The foundation to ensuring election integrity,
is to identify each person as a bonafide citizen. Providing proof of identification before
voting is one of the best ways to ensure election integrity.
We should never forget, voting is not only a right, but a privilege!
